I’ve name this blog “Garden poiesis”. This blog is an expression of my interest in plants, the cultivation of plants as in gardening, and the thoughtful arrangement of groups of plants into constructed environments.
I use this blog to communicates to friends not in my immediate community. Perhaps to communities I have belonged to in the past.
The blog subjects extend out to encompass farming, forests, parks, water, plants, nurseries, my walks, and travel, the media I’m consuming, and some stories about food.
The word poiesis is derived from the Greek verb meaning “to make”. It was a verb meaning an action that transforms and continues the world.
